According to research carried out for The Times, one in 10 households earning over £150,000 annually in England and Wales are renting - with that number set to rise year on year. Crown Princess Mary's hair stylist is "passing the baton on to the next generation" as he revealed he is stepping down from the role when the Danish royal becomes queen on 14 January. Julian Sands, five months after he first disappeared while on a hike, has been confirmed dead by California authorities. American Idol season two finalist Rickey Smith was tragically killed in a multi-car accident in Oklahoma on Friday. Local authorities told E! News that Rickey, 36, died when a 27-year-old male driver drove his pickup truck the wrong way down a highway and crashed into his vehicle. Rickey died at the scene.The other driver, meanwhile, was treated at a local hospital and then released into police custody. Patrol troopers believe that he may have been under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place.

Early lifeCerys Matthews was born on 11 April 1969 in Cardiff. The second of her parents' four children, the future Catatonia star was brought up in Swansea and speaks fluent Welsh. Her family moved to Pembrokeshire and then Dorset as she grew up.  Cerys first showed signs of her musical talents aged nine when she learned to play the guitar, teaching herself Welsh and Irish folk songs, and blues music. Royal fans have taken to Twitter in defence on Meghan Markle following the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live.
